Working Hard On the Ranch

Here we are working! It was a full day, we got tired, but it was worth it. Everyone who helped thought it was fun and exciting to be around the horses that we don't usually get to be around. You should try it sometime. It's good, fun work. It's surprising to know that horse owners have to do this type of work EVERY SINGLE DAY. We learned that you shouldn't get a horse unless you actually have the time, patience, and money to take care of the horse.

We also learned that some people foster horses, because some horses are abused and neglected. It's really important to take care of a horse properly if you own a horse. Horses that are fostered are available for adoption, but they pick the families very carefully. These horses have been through a lot and deserve to have a better life. Fostered horses learn to trust people again and overcome their fears. Often they are sent for special training. It takes a lot of heart to rehabilitate a horse.
